Enjoy delicious food and a beautifully aged bottle of wine from our extensive wine menu. No detail is overlooked from crisp white linens to crystal glassware and the perfect setting with outstanding service. For elegant fine dining in Muskoka, Vintages dining room is ideal for celebrating a milestone, like an anniversary, graduation or retirement, or for an intimate and romantic dinner for two. And, it is not necessary to be a guest of our historic Muskoka inn to enjoy one of the finest dining experiences in Muskoka.
We pride ourselves on providing every guest with an exceptional culinary experience on their Muskoka resort vacation. Our Dining Room is open for breakfast, lunch and dinner 7 days a week, Mid-May to mid-October. Mid-October to mid-May we open for breakfast, lunch and dinner 7 days a week, May 10 through October 18, 2015.
November through April we are open for lunch and dinner on Friday, breakfast, lunch and dinner on Saturday, and breakfast on Sunday morning.

MEET THE CHEF
EXECUTIVE CHEF, SHERWOOD INN
Born and raised in northern Ontario, Everett is no stranger to fresh local food. Spending summers on his grandfather’s farm, he gained a respect and passion for food and farming. Everett loves the outdoors, and strives to use the best and freshest ingredients in season.
Everett started working as a dishwasher at age14 and was cooking by age 15. He excelled in the kitchen and was soon making everything on the menu. This inspired him to attend culinary school at Canadore College in North Bay, Ont. After graduating with a Culinary Management diploma, he began working at the Grandview Resort in Huntsville under the guidance of Executive Chef Ken Schulz. This started an ongoing culinary relationship that transformed Everett into a chef.
After achieving his Red Seal certification in 2009, Everett continued his culinary journey by spending the winter season at the Lodge at Kananaskis in Alberta. He returned to Grandview Resort in the spring of 2010 as a Junior Sous Chef, and spent 18 months at the helm as a Chef at the Rosewood Inn dining room. It was during this time that he discovered his true taste for local cuisine and became actively involved in promoting the local Savour Muskoka culinary organization. After another winter season at Kananaskis, he has returned home to Muskoka as the Chef de Cuisine at the Sherwood Inn on Lake Joseph, a tradition for the past seven decades.

We are justifiably proud of our wine cellar that boasts more than 2,000 bottles. For seven consecutive years, we have won the Wine Spectator Award of Excellence for our wine list, which features in excess of 200 exquisite selections. We specialize in vintages from Australia, California, Italy and the Bordeaux region of France.
For a special treat, enjoy an intimate private party in our Cellar Dining Room, adjacent to the wine cellar. (Up to 14 people, reservation required. Private dining charges apply). Our chef and food and beverage team excel at planning, preparing and serving customized multiple-course food and wine pairings.
