Etwell Concert Series - Huntsville, 40 Minute Drive from Sherwood Inn â€‹

The Etwell Concert Series (near Huntsville) is a beloved outdoor blues, rock, and soul music venue hosted by the Spring family in a country setting each summer. Scenic Hiking Trails

Huckleberry Rock Lookout Trail - Port Carling, 15 Minute Drive from Sherwood Inn â€‹

Huckleberry Rock Lookout Trail is a short, scenic loop hike known for its classic Muskoka landscape and sweeping views over Lake Muskoka. The trail winds through forest and exposed pink granite before reaching a stunning open-rock lookout, making it an easy-to-moderate hike with a big visual payoff. It’s especially popular for sunsets and fall colours.

Hazelwood Trail - Port Carling, 10 Minute Drive from Sherwood Inn â€‹

Hazelwood Trail is a historic 5 km out-and-back trail that once connected Port Carling to Port Sandfield, originally used by a local pioneer family. It’s a moderate hike with some steeper sections through mature hardwood forest, and the highlight near the end is a scenic beaver pond known for birdlife. Overall, it’s a quieter, more nature-focused trail compared to lookout hikes, with a nice mix of history and Muskoka scenery.
